Young writer fulfills his dream and publishes his first book
One day, in the center of Delfim Moreira, MG, I came across a young man sitting on a park bench, looking around, somewhat lost in thought. Upon seeing me, his eyes widened, and, clearly astonished, he asked if I was Julio—the man who “works with books.”
"It might seem like something very simple—I don’t know—but becoming a writer is, quite simply, the greatest dream of my life! It may seem like a small step, but for me, actually holding my own book in my hands is a true achievement." — R. de Souza
When I confirmed that I was, he excitedly told me his name was Pablo Eduardo, that he was 19 years old, and that it had always been his dream to become a writer.
The intensity with which he shared his story caught my attention, so I asked him to tell me a bit more. He explained that he had already written a book and dreamed of getting it published. He wanted to know how much I would charge for book layout and cover design, and whether publishing was expensive. To him, it felt like a dream that was far too distant to ever come true.
Right then and there, I decided I would help make this young man’s dream a reality! I told him to save up for the printing costs, and that our studio would handle the entire editorial process—completely free of charge. At first, Pablo could hardly believe what he was hearing, but then a wide, radiant smile spread across his face.
After a great deal of hard work and dedication, the book was finally finished! The dream once held by a boy named Pablo became a reality for the now-published author R. de Souza, who finally holds the first copies of his book, A Jornada de Clarice (Clarice’s Journey), in his hands.
Now, Pablo can proudly say that he is, in fact, a writer! Hurrah!
May this be the first of many, Pablo!
